Week 43!

** Haley went on a hike with her Bishop and Zone and didn't have time to write out a full weekly email. This is just a few excerpt from the email she sent to me and a few funny stories from her week.  The most wonderful news was that the investigator (Josh) that she and Sister Gilland and then after transfers Sister Paschen were able to teach was baptized on Saturday. I am so happy for Josh and so happy for Haley that she was able to be there and speak at his baptism!!

*I sent Haley a pair of rain boots since the zipper in her boots she took out broke and she needed new ones.. this was her response when I asked how they fit and how Josh's baptism went.

First of all, the boots fit perfect and are absolutely amazing! Now when it's raining hard, everything else may be wet, but my feet are still dry. Lol. There are very few things in this world that can overcome Chorley rain.
Josh's baptism was amazing!!! He's amazing!! He invited his family and a bunch of people too so it was pretty big. Also I had a talk on the Holy Ghost and I was too nervous to look in my notebook and ended up saying a talk completely different then what I planned. It went pretty good though.

I actually won't have time for a weekly email because we have to go home and eat before we go back to work, so I'll just send the funny moments.
A drunk man kissed sister paschen and I both on the cheek when we were saying goodbye. The drunk men here are unusually affectionate. They're like cats
The Blackburn elders got to move flats and they had this camel statue they found that they gave to the zone leaders. Well we wanted the camel statue so we traded German chocolate for a camel. Now we have a pet camel.
Somebody put googly eyes on the camel and won't admit it
It was so windy that I broke my umbrella, so I got a new one that was sturdier and bubble shaped. One of the wires on that one broke within like 2 minutes. I hate the wind
The stls used our flat like 3 times this week for exchanges and lunch and companionship studies. It's like having an extra set of roommates.
We got mail for other missionaries by accident so we were holding on to it to give to the zone leaders, and elder casidebari asked if he had any mail. Well he didn't, so sister paschen and I found a cute card and envelope and we wrote him a letter. It said: you okay?' that's it. He said that we just started a war.
Sister paschen: 'you can have ketchup on everything!! ', she says as she pours ketchup on a bowl of rice.
Words of wisdom from sister paschen: you can put anything in your wrap. Her wrap was full of rice, ketchup, cheese, veggies, and two pieces of salami.
We thought the camel would feel homesick so we put it next to two cactus plants so it would feel like it's in the desert again.
So we (Haley and her comp Sister Paschen) were planning to have tea with Stephan, a ysa chef, and he was asking us over messenger what we wanted. Sister Paschen had the phone and I was reading so I yelled at her to tell him no enchiladas so she said that she asked for enchiladas. I tried to take the phone back to correct that and we ended up wrestling over it. She had a bunch of brothers and male friends so I lost drastically.

*pictures... Haley sent a few pictures from the baptism and a lot from todays hike!

Week 42! Drunk people are weird

So this whole week was insane. The beginning of the week was alright until Friday. We started the day with a trip to Warrington for a trip to the dentist. I was really happy because afterwards we got burger King which we don't have in Chorley. Later in the day though I got us lost (it'll be in the funny moments). Saturday was when it got really weird. We had a street display and England seemed a bit more cheerful, so good so far. I had met some nice people and managed a few conversations when I meet this man. For a drunk person he was pretty nice, and he was listening about the book of Mormon. Then he told me he felt a connection and when we shook hands, he kissed my hand. (happens once every few months). Later in the day, during street display I meet these two men and one of them is completely smashed. The sober man was very nice and left with a book of Mormon and our number. The smashed man gave us a pep talk about how he loves Jesus mixed with lots of cursing. I love drunk people.
Another fun thing that happened this week was the fireside with Elder Cook and the two church historians. They gave a lot of great answers to common questions we all have about our church's history, but my favorite thing they taught was how to learn more about church history and how to understand it. Every age and group of people are different, and people are taught differently, but God never changes and he never gives us a commandment that would hurt us or hold us back. In every part of the old and new testament, Book of Mormon, and doctrine and covenants, God always gave commandments that helped keep the saints safe and make it possible for more of his children to know him. Sometimes he gives us commandments that are hard to follow and understand at first, like Nephi and Laban and the Israelites and the wall of Jericho, but each time he reveals his purposes. If we follow those commandments, even when we don't understand them at first, we are guaranteed blessings and a greater understanding.
Funny moments:
I had another dream that I was really fat and president sent me home because I ate too much.
Sister paschen bought a rapunzel doll for her little sisters birthday and when she unpacked it (so it would fit in the box) we discovered that there was a split in the back of rapunzels dress so the doll was mooning us
Elder Zander left a note on the love for he has for my mom on my wall.(I asked Haley about this and she he thinks I'm cool because I send her stuff and all..ok I guess..)
I spent like 20 minutes and was wounded several times all in the name of getting this tiny weed out of the pot of our flat cactus
The elders were cleaning out their flat because they're moving, and they found a camel statue and sent us a picture of it. Guess who's getting a free camel on Tuesday!!
My new favorite stress toy is white tack. On the other hand though, I had a piece of gum I was going to eat in one hand and the white tack in the other. As I'm sure you already guessed, I put the white tack in my mouth by accident. It was awful
On Thursday morning, sister paschen came up to me and was all like "do you know a good dentist?" and she showed me her tooth AND A CHUNK OF HER MOLAR Was Missing?!? Apparently while she was eating her tooth chipped and she didn't notice until later. Now we have to visit a dentist.
So when we were heading to a tea, we had to take the 109 bus to Euxton, and there's another bus, the 109a which also goes to Euxton. Well we took the 109a (I had never taken this ne before) and thinking that it would get us to Euxton sooner. Well it took us out of our zone and would've taken another hour to circle around back to Euxton, so we got dropped off at a Tesco extra (massive Walmart Costco crossbreed store) and had to wait for a member to pick us up. By far one of the most embarrassing moments of my mission
Sister paschen is a big dork who dabs while she sneezes.

Pictures.. Haley and Sister Paschen at the dentist..and today for pday Haley's zone got to go tour a cool castle.

Homecoming talk

*Haley spoke in the Peachwood ward on Sunday June 23rd at 9am. Haley didn't type out a talk..she just wrote some bullet points down. I r...
